Who are we?
Since 1900, the Ronchi Biaggi family has been cultivating vineyards with passion in the heart of Ticino. For three generations, we have passed on our expertise, combining tradition, respect for the terroir and continuous innovation. Today, we manage 28 vineyards spread across the main wine-growing areas of the canton, where each plot is worked by hand using sustainable methods, with the utmost respect for biodiversity.
Our philosophy is simple: every wine should tell the story of the terroir it comes from. This is why we favour environmentally respectful practices such as green manure, pheromone-based mating disruption and pruning according to the Simonit & Sirch method, in order to enhance grape quality and ensure the longevity of our vines.
Our vision is also focused on the future. In 2024, we created an experimental vineyard dedicated to PIWI grape varieties, which are naturally resistant to fungal diseases. Our goal is to produce increasingly sustainable wines without ever compromising on excellence.
One of our greatest prides is Bondola, a rare indigenous grape variety from Ticino, recognised and protected by the Slow Food Presidio. Our interpretation of this historic variety expresses freshness, authenticity and a deep connection to the terroir. It has become a symbol of our identity and our commitment to preserving the local wine heritage.
What makes our wines unique
Each bottle is made from grapes cultivated with artisanal care and vinified with the utmost respect for their natural characteristics. Every year, we produce between 25,000 and 30,000 bottles, with a range including fresh and elegant white wines, beautifully structured reds and wines designed for slow appreciation.
The ageing process in stainless steel tanks, barriques or large wooden barrels is chosen according to the style of each wine, in order to reveal its full personality and balance.
Why our guests choose us
Visitors to our winery discover much more than a simple tasting: they experience an authentic journey filled with passion, hospitality and family stories. They appreciate the quality of our wines, the attention to detail, our strong connection to the terroir and the opportunity to discover unique grape varieties such as Bondola, alongside modern interpretations of Ticino’s classic wines.
Each visit is an invitation to discover our craft, explore our vineyards for a moment and taste wines that tell more than a century of tradition while looking firmly towards the future.
The meal will not be organised by our estate but will be offered by a partner food truck. The price of CHF 49.– includes the vineyard experience, a welcome glass offered upon arrival and the final wine tasting. The meal is offered separately and is not included in the experience price.
Programme of the Day
Experience an afternoon at the heart of the grape harvest
Share a unique moment during the grape harvest and discover first-hand the work, passion and traditions behind every bottle of wine.
Your experience begins at 3:00 p.m. at our winery, where the Biaggi family will welcome you with a welcome glass and a short introduction to the estate and the day’s programme.
We will then head together to the vineyards to discover our terroir, grape varieties and the specific characteristics of the vintage. Accompanied by the winemaker, you will experience the highlight of the day: the grape harvest. With pruning shears in hand, you will personally harvest ripe grapes and discover the selection criteria and the gestures that mark the beginning of the creation of a great wine.
Once the harvest is complete, we will follow the grapes’ journey to the winery. You will discover the main stages of winemaking, from crushing to ageing, and understand how the fruit of the harvest is transformed into an exceptional wine.
The afternoon continues with a guided tasting of a selection of our wines, accompanied by specialities from the Minguccio l'Imbranato food truck. You will discover the aromas, characteristics and stories behind each of our cuvées.
We will conclude this experience with a convivial dinner at the winery, where you can enjoy the creations of the Minguccio l'Imbranato food truck, paired with the wines of Tenuta Ronchi Biaggi, in a warm, family-friendly and authentic atmosphere.
