Maison Vulpin – Living, authentic wines deeply rooted in their terroir

At Maison Vulpin, we believe that great wines are born first and foremost in the vineyard. Our two-hectare estate, nestled on the hillsides of Villeneuve between Lake Geneva and the Alps, enjoys an exceptional clay-limestone terroir that is cultivated with the utmost respect for nature.

Our philosophy is simple: work with nature rather than control it. The grapes are hand-picked, fermentation relies on indigenous yeasts, and our wines are made without oenological additives, added sulphites or filtration. Each bottle therefore expresses its vintage, grape variety and terroir with remarkable authenticity.

Maison Vulpin is, above all, a story of passion. After several years in the hospitality industry, Jordi Renard took over the former Domaine Crépon, founded in 1984, in 2022, with the ambition of creating wines that reflect his vision: free, vibrant and full of emotion. Since then, the estate has developed its own identity under the name Maison Vulpin, where every cuvée tells a story and invites discovery.

What our visitors appreciate most is this constant pursuit of authenticity. They enjoy wines that are not standardised but express their true personality. They also value the warm welcome at the estate, the relaxed tastings and the opportunity to speak directly with the winemaker to better understand the work behind every bottle.

If you are looking for wines with character, crafted patiently, with respect for nature and without compromise, we will be delighted to welcome you to Maison Vulpin and share our passion with you.

🍇 Spend a harvest day at Maison Vulpin

Become a grape picker for a day and discover how natural wines are made, from harvesting the grapes to their arrival in the winery.

8:30 a.m. – Welcome, coffee & briefing
We welcome you with coffee and light refreshments.

Programme:

  • Introduction to Maison Vulpin and its philosophy

  • Presentation of the grape variety being harvested

  • Explanation of ripeness criteria and grape selection

  • Introduction to the equipment and safety instructions

You will then receive your bucket and pruning shears before heading to the vineyard.

9:00 a.m. – Into the vineyard!
Time to harvest!

You will learn how to:

  • recognise perfectly ripe grape clusters,

  • harvest efficiently without damaging the vines or grapes,

  • understand the importance of careful grape selection.

Throughout the morning, we will share our expertise, the estate's history and answer all your questions about vineyards, terroir and the winemaker's craft.

12:00 p.m. – Friendly lunch at the estate
After the effort comes the reward! Enjoy a generous lunch while discovering food and wine pairings with Maison Vulpin wines.

1:30 p.m. – Back to the vineyard
The harvest continues. By the afternoon, everyone has found their rhythm and becomes fully involved in this crucial stage that determines the quality of the future wine.

4:00 p.m. – From vineyard to winery
The day continues in the winery, where you will discover what happens to the grapes after harvest. Depending on the grape variety and wine style, you will observe:

  • grape weighing and reception,

  • destemming,

  • pressing,

  • the first stages of grape processing,

  • equipment cleaning, an essential step in ensuring wine quality.

5:00 p.m. – Aperitif & wine tasting
We end the day with a guided tasting of Maison Vulpin wines, sharing the highlights of the day and raising a glass to the vintage you helped harvest.

The programme may be adjusted depending on weather conditions and the progress of the harvest.

We hope you will leave with wonderful memories—perhaps a little vineyard soil on your shoes—and a new appreciation of the winemaker's profession.
