Day of visit

Halfway between Geneva and Lausanne, in the heart of the renowned La Côte wine region, Reynald Parmelin lives and works his passion for vines and wine in Gland-Begnins. For over 31 years, he has run the first certified organic (BIO-Bourgeon and Demeter) wine estate in Vaud, cultivating 21 grape varieties. His famous blue bottles are well-known far and wide, and his hard, meticulous, and professional work is regularly awarded (5-time winner of Best Organic Wine of Switzerland, Guide Hachette, 3rd at the Chardonnay du Monde competition in Lyon, Vaud Wine Office competitions, etc.). The estate's reception hall hosts many events weekly (seminars, gourmet meals, team building, weddings, birthdays, viticulture/oenology students, etc.), during which Reynald Parmelin gives cellar tours and shares his passion.

The wide range of wines offered at Domaine La Capitaine ensures everyone finds something to love. Specialties such as Johanniter, Sauvignon Gris, Gewürztraminer, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec complete the lineup of classic Lake Geneva grapes like Chasselas, Pinot Noir, Gamay, and Gamaret. To produce complex, aromatic, and refined wines, Reynald Parmelin uses various vinification methods: in oak barrels, amphorae, and stainless steel tanks.
